The Raptor Center is celebrating 50 years of saving eagles, owls, hawks, falcons, turkey vultures, and more!
Are you ready for the festivities? The Raptor Center's flock can achieve anything and we look forward to celebrating 50 years of TRC's unwavering community with you.
It's an exciting time to join our flock!
The Raptor Center’s 50th year of caring for birds in need is on track to be our busiest by far, currently outpacing our previous record of 1,183 birds in one year by 15%. To date, we have admitted over 900 birds already this year. Our hospital work is only made possible by public support. Will you make a gift today and help us meet the future needs of our patients?
Each time one of our 30,000 (and counting) patients has been rehabilitated and released to the wild, it builds on TRC’s immense local, regional, and global ecological impact.
When it started in 1974, TRC ventured into uncharted territory to improve the welfare of a group of birds in desperate need of protection.
Today, as we kickoff celebrating our 50th anniversary, we are reminded that our work matters more than ever.
Our human development is changing wildlife’s natural spaces faster than they can adapt; and the welfare of the world’s raptors—while improved by some measures—continues to require ‘round-the-clock stewardship.
As we look to the future, we see our mission unfolding in powerful new ways as we activate you, the public, to foster ecosystem health, support the network of organizations working to save endangered populations, and go out and share our raptors’ stories with your communities.
Thank you all for celebrating us today and being the wind beneath our raptors’ wings as we tackle new challenges in raptor medicine, train future generations of veterinary specialists, expand STEM access through the magic of birds, and advance critical conservation efforts in Minnesota and far beyond.
