The Raptor Center
Emilee Douglass, TRC development intern

We are so thankful to all the hard work and energy that our student workers and interns bring to The Raptor Center! They come from different backgrounds with varying aspirations, and we enjoy being part of their educational journey. We want to give a giant "congratulations" to Elizabeth Dirksen, Brandon Maiersperger, Kelly Shanahan, and Scarlet Wickert for completing their undergraduate courses and to Joe Amerman for finishing his master's degree this spring.

We also had the joy of bringing on Emilee Douglas, a development intern, who assisted throughout the spring semester in working with our donors, coordinating events, and fundraising. Read about her internship in her own words:

"This spring semester I had the incredible opportunity to intern at The Raptor Center as a part of their fundraising efforts. I have always had a passion for wildlife and environmental justice, and was excited to work for an organization who had a mission that connected with my interests. The experience was beyond what I could have hoped for out of an internship. Aside from the excitement of having live raptors around every corner and the ability to work so directly for a cause that I cared about, The Raptor Center has an amazing community of supporters whom I got the opportunity to thank profusely for sustaining The Raptor Centers mission over thank you cards, phone calls, and emails. The Raptor Center's sense of community is unmatched. The passion they spark for wildlife rehabilitation and environmental conservation was inspiring to be a part of, and I will forever be grateful for the opportunity to be a part of such a beautiful mission."

Thank you to all of our students and interns and congratulations to all the graduates of 2020!
