This six-week, interactive, instructor-led online course will cover some of the most common medical conditions seen in a raptor rehabilitation setting. Participants will gain a foundational knowledge of how to manage and treat the medical conditions that are discussed. Topics include the treatment and medical management of the following presentations: trauma (internal, head, and spinal trauma), soft tissue wounds, fractures, nutrition and the inappetent patient, starvation, common toxicosis, and captive management injuries. Information provided is for the post-fledging to adult wild raptor. The course content is tailored to the experienced rehabilitator or to the veterinarian who is relatively new to wild raptor medicine.
There is a weekly, live interaction with an instructor each Tuesday night of this course from 7:00 pm central to 8 or 8:30 pm central, depending on Q&A. These live presentations will be recorded for alternative viewing times.
