
This six-week, interactive, instructor-led online course will cover some of the most common medical conditions seen in a raptor rehabilitation setting. Participants will gain a foundational knowledge of how to manage and treat the medical conditions that are discussed. Topics include the treatment and medical management of the following presentations: trauma (internal, head, and spinal trauma), soft tissue wounds, fractures, nutrition and the inappetent patient, starvation, common toxicosis, and captive management injuries. Information provided is for the post-fledging to adult wild raptor. The course content is tailored to the experienced rehabilitator or to the veterinarian who is relatively new to wild raptor medicine.
What is in this course?
There is a weekly, live interaction with an instructor each Tuesday night of this course from 7:00 pm central to 8 or 8:30 pm central, depending on Q&A. These live presentations will be recorded for alternative viewing times.
