Major questions need to be answered and decisions made during the first 24 hours after a raptor is presented for rehabilitation. With the heightened awareness of preventing disease spread in a wild animal hospital, this course will first discuss setting up biosecurity protocols. Guidance will then be shared on conducting a complete physical exam, triaging raptor patients, and stabilizing/treating new patients that will move forward with rehabilitative care.
