If all the staff and volunteers who work hands-on with raptors are the wind beneath their wings, then the small team of coordination and administration staff would be the tree branch they can take a rest on. They are the people, behind the people, behind the birds.

The Raptor Center’s (TRC) administrators are the people who make sure we are dotting our I’s and crossing our T’s. They support the day to day operations of the center and assist leadership and program staff. Our administrators provide many different types of support and help solve sometimes complex operational puzzles to keep each unit running smoothly for the grants that allow us to bring STEM education into Minnesota classrooms through raptors. Our administrators support the projects that keep TRC improving and growing.

Our coordinators connect with the public and support all the hard work of the people who make up TRC. The volunteer coordinator supports the small army of nearly 400 TRC volunteers while always working to recruit more bird lovers. The communications coordinator is responsible for getting the stories of these birds and our staff’s work to the public. Last, but not least, is TRC’s development officer who works with our amazing base of philanthropic supporters. These are the raptor heroes that fund nearly 100 percent of TRC’s clinical work and other initiatives.

Together, these staff members are expert team managers who keep TRC a well-oiled machine.
